30 tries in one season and he set a bag full up as well. Some of those tries took some scoring 2.

Imagine if we had a centre that could do that now!!

I would have scored 30 tries in that team

He used to reach up to the top shelf in Smiths when he took the academy lads shopping.

I'm surprised so many of you don't rate a BJ.

Good one.

On a more serious note, I think it's the manner in which BJ left us.

The lad undoubtedly had talent - which he never fulfilled in truth, with all his club-to-club flitting about - but I think he was a bit of a legend in his own mind. That 'come and worship at my altar' pose he used to strike whenever he scored a try; that spoke volumes about his attitude - and this was in a team of many sublime talents.

I was playing for school in an end of season 7's tournament back in '99. Mather was there playing for a mates team. He was in the England RU squad at the time so that was a bit of a super ringer there! We asked if he'd play for us and he just said "no", not a word more and walked off. Tight get.

On the other hand, I thought he was class at Wigan, but you had to question the attitude at times.
