I was a bit young to remember the charachters as such but a guy went in called Dave Harold and he was mental for it.
I remember tries being scored and everyone falling around you and there would be this big gap in the stand and you could actually see wood.
I was there for the first crowd under 10,000 v York I think in 1984/5 ?
The coin throwing into the blankets was also mad and I just have this vision of p*ss and various ways to have one without losing your spot for too long. Bit further on was the Shane Rich era and his campaign to stop swearing. That first home game v Bradford was a laugh - they came out and 3d started singing "what the f--ing hell is that" really LOUD and audible. Shane may as well have not bothered but I have heard him swear every other word at a steward for letting some ex A-team player from 1958 in for free.

Mick Phillips... A good mate of mine. His name appears on the song "Hessle Road" by whoever it was. We had such a laugh with him.....always went in the club bar off Airlie street before a game... to the "bottle bar"... got tanked up then fought our way to the back of 3d stand... always remember David Barends for Bradford on our wing... and signalling to us he was well endowed !!

Some legends mentioned there. I still can't believe that my parent’s trusted you lot to take me to away games as a teenager.
Remember meeting in cod at 12.00pm for every home game and then working our way down road to steam tavern before going to the ground. Jeez I used to be mullered.
Is it true that Richard Agar's favorite movie of all time is Groundhog Day or does he just generally like the same boring s**t day after day, season after season?

He was our very own away day security.Him and a couple of his colleagues travelled to all away games with FC just to make sure we were safe
Last time I saw him he was outside a pub in town videoing City fans before a game with Derby. He went white when he saw me till I told him I was only going for a pint and hadnt started watching the Tiggers.

After I saw the price of a drink, there was no way I was going to lay a finger on her. I had pins and needles in my hands for about an hour because I was sat on them that hard.
A great first wembley weekend and taste of the big smoke for a fresh faced 17 year old.
