Whilst I think he's made more errors this year in defence than normal I put it down to him having been out for a long time and needing to get back up to speed. Generally he's been outstanding in defence for a HB during his career.

Theres no doubting he hasn't been at his best and like you say I think this is because he was out for so long. But even still the way he is defending now which is not like his usual best. I stil think he is better than most in the league.

I'd take Cullen's words with a pinch of salt TBH. I don't think a coach who's side consistently conceded over 700 points a season in SL is in any position to comment on the defensive aspect of the game.

We just couldnt kill the game and Cas were always kept within striking difference and played that way.
Also Horne has kicked plenty of drop goals before to justify putting himself in that position...rubbish effort though.
Maybe. We do still seem to have plenty of mental lapses though where we struggle to kill teams off or concede silly points. We look sharper in attack than all last season put together but need to stay switched on for the full 80.
