If it did happen Wigan RL will not die. Its too big a club and means too much to too many people.

I wonder if 'DW' will repalce 'JJB' when it comes to the seats?

Just 'Wigan' in all three would look superb.

Welcome to last week!

I do feel for your club though, its a bit of a kick in the teeth of the fans

I Can hardly sleep at night worrying about this naming of the stadium issue!

Some Salford fan said to me and I quote "You are by far and away the most Handsome & Knowledgeable Rugby League Fan in England!"

I thanked him and went on my Merry way!

Officially one of the 119 Mugs used by the club

He will be hailed a saviour now that he is bragging he saved 12000 jobs and his ex company that he sold and bought back at a fraction of the cost. One word in daves world and its cash maybe instead of the jjb logo spinning round they mite have £££ spinning.

With regards to the stadium name, I do care what its called, and I will not be calling it the DW Stadium. How self righteous can you get?

Fair enough not calling the stadium by it's name. I always referred to the JJB as 'the stadium' when I'm talking about it. Not through some vendetta against the JJB though. I always called Central Park 'the stadium' too.

The last stadium sponsor was Dave Whelan's company and the new one will be Dave Whelan's company. The fact that the company bears his name is irrelevant. Plenty companies are named after their owners.

Neil Robinson & associates
Morton Financial Services
Craig Hogan's male escort services
Alex Graham. Seller of scruffy jeans and hair product

to name 4.

Although I'd rather it have a generic name such as "The Riverside" or "Wigan's Stadium" I'm ultimately not that arsed. At this moment in time I'm more concerned with seeing some consistent and entertaining rugby rather than what it says on a sign outside my stadium.

Got to say this is a top signing

Well if that's true, then in the current climate where people are losing their jobs right, left and centre he probably deserves to be hailed a saviour.

Well what we'll have to do is put some sort of negative spin on it. Maybe by giving 12000 people jobs he murdered 24000 puppies.
