The mods have of course decided that it doesn't matter what the stadium is called. These are the same mods that decided that Dave Whelan was not fit to burn when he booted us out just six months ago.
Now far be it for me to suggest that we're all expected to simply follow in line to what our dear leaders say, but I really cannot believe that you could feel so strongly about the way we were treated, and then just shrug your shoulders when the same man puts his initials on our ground!
As many of my tenants say to me "I may only rent this place, but it is STILL MY HOME"
As I said in a previous thread, this is as offensive to many Wigan supporters as it would be to Latics fans if we called the ground 'Central Park'. Sorry if you don't feel that way, but many of us do, given recent events.
To be fair Neil, I agree with you...But it's not fair to blame all the moderators (which includes me) if others haven't agreed with you.

He's going to be getting free publicity. Every time Wigan or Latics are mentioned on television the name of his new company will invariably get a shout.
The point of the first one is having a name everyone would recognise and probably use.
He would get alot more money if he had got hyundai in on the deal.
He is just gone for the middle ground and will not get that much out of it, and no one will call it that anyway other then the commentators.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS

Not doing. I'm simply going off the three comments posted by you, pemps and Hogan on this thread, which basically say you're not bothered. I think you're telling porkies. There are a couple of other posters say something similar.
I can't work out whether people are seething/sulking and won't admit it, or whether people have forgotten our "home game" 20 miles away in Widnes, or whether it genuinely doesn't bother people.
But just as rugby players don't sulk, and 'true fans' don't criticise, some of us feel strongly about certain issues, and we shouldn't feel afraid to say so. Sorry if that doesn't fit in, here, but hey. It's a free country.
"I've not come 'alfway round t'world fot watch us lose. And I've come halfway round t'world, an' av watched um lose"
