Did a bit of a double take in our staffroom today. I walked through and there were Paul Sykes, Chris Nero Rikki Sherrife and Jason Crookes. They were coming in to do an assembly with some of our kids. Unfortunately I wasn't in to hear it but it is good to see the first teamers getting into schools. My son had Morrison, Vagana and Henderson in his school two years ago. Bit of credit to SM here because I never saw first teamers come into schools under Nobby.

Maybe that's because Noble did not want players going into schools, or indeed doing anything much else on the marketing or youth development front.

And Macca has exactly the opposite view.

And I was told that pretty unequivocally just after Noble went, by sources at the club who were very well placed to comment. And in a meeting where the subject was highly relevant.

Something people might wish to reflect on when seeking to assign blame for our present situation?

We had Platt, Newton and Burgess in school a couple of years ago. Very interesting assembly, even though I am a Rhinos fan, and nice to have some eye candy, (Burgess, not newton!) there.

Platt couldn't catch a ball in the assembly hall either!!!!

Thats why we're champions, thats why we're champions!!!!! Back to back to back!!!!

Rhinos - each and every one of you are a legend in your own right..........get in!!!!!!!

You can follow me on Twitter....if you want!

I was presented my National Record of Achievement by Brian Noble and Robbie Paul i'll have you know. Why I will never know; but they seemed more than happy to be there and stayed around for a good few hours after for anyone wanting photos/autographs. Cant ask for more than that can you??

A few weeks ago, Wagga, Andy Lynch, Jamie Langley and Tom Olbison came into our school. I did assembly and made them do press ups and sit ups and things. I also got some children to measure various parts of their bodies! They were very good sports.

In recent years, the Bulls have been very proactive in getting into schools. Last year (or year before maybe?) Morrison, Big Joe, Lesley and Koppy were in. Big Joe should have gone into children's parties after retirement. He was a comedy genius!

(and I feel fine)
