If no news by weekend on Crocker surely it's time the club started looking at other targets and bring someone else in, maybe an English player pay a transfer fee if there is a player out there worth bringing in

I'd be surprised if the club were sat on their hands - Rule's already said it's looking unlikely that Crocker will be granted a visa so I'd expect other options are being progressed. For the sake of another couple of weeks, though, it would be worth the wait if by some chance Crocker's re-application were successful.

But if it's another overseas player by the time there visa application gone through it will be backend of the season, should try and bring in the best of british if that means a transfer fee they so be it

I know this is Hull FC, but I think its silly to think that the club won't have a contingency plan in place in case Crocker doesn't come. I'm sure that the club are looking at other players just in case. If he doesn't come then I really hope we try and sign a top centre this year as thats the only position at the moment we are weak in in terms of consistancy

Who says it's another overseas player? Why get stressed over a situation that might not exist?
As for the 'best of British' stuff, the main problem is that anyone that good will be so integral to their current club that they'd never be let go mid season. Not for any remotely sensible fee at any rate.
Hold on to me baby, his bony hands will do you no harm It said in the cards, we lost our souls to the Nameless One

So if they do and i agree they will most likely have other players lined up, but if no decision on crocker 4 another couple of weeks thats round 8 then sign another player could take another few weeks get visa anything up to 3 months it's too late then time to settle in

Also with the 'best of British' stuff, we don't produce many good centres. Gleeson would be a very good buy. Senior too although not as good a buy as Gleeson. Then who? Shenton is good but won't improve our backs drastically. Atkins wouldn't add too much more either. Can't think of any other decent centres that would improve us really.

That would only be a problem if we were in desperate need of players, which at the moment we are not
