I couldn't post on here before now as I was too emotional. Never met Leon or saw him play but from what I've read about him he would have been a great credit to the club in time to come.
I still cannot really express how deeply upset I feel about this tragic event but want to wish all his family and friends my deepest condolences.
To all staff, players and fans at Wakefield and Celtic you have my sympathy. It must have been awful to have witnessed such a tragedy.
It is amazing to see how strong the Rugby League family is and the numerous posts of sympathy and support on here from fans of all clubs give me (and hopefully Leon's family) some small amount of comfort at this time.
I will be at Belle Vue on Friday to pay my respects, no doubt with a tear or two in my eyes.
Goodbye Leon and God bless you.

I feel a bit late posting this but like so many people both Gill and I are stunned at the sad loss of another young player just coming into the prime of his life.
Our thoughts are with Leon's family and the Wakefield Club and fans at this time.
RIP Leon.

I would like to offer my deepest condolences at yet another tragic death for the club and the rugby league community. Im a St Helens supporter and i will be at the game on friday to pay my respects.
My thoughts are with the family and friends of Leon.
I was reading the tributes to Leon on the YEP site and there was one there from his girlfriend and TBH, reading that and holding back the tears was one of the hardest things I've ever done.
Like someone on our board has just said, I am so proud of the rugby community and how everyone has pulled together.
