I seem to remember they used to print the top players for their respective positions, according to OPTA stats, then just select the best of those for the team & the best overall as the player. Not bought it in a long while though.

Ah right, Is that the same for the Northern Rail Cup team of the month then?

They still show the best 5 for each poisition.

Not sure, seem to remember they would give the OPTA figures for SL but not for other leagues, don't know if OPTA stats were/are kept for them.
