If you believe that RFL/SL propaganda then there really is no hope. It's really a no-brainer to understand that scrapping relegation will slowly kill of the lower leagues.

Celtic and Quins are typical examples. They could finish bottom of SL for the next 3 years, draw 2,000-3,000 crowds and fill their squads with Aussies and there's NO WAY they would be dumped out of SL.

Celtics probably had the lowest number of ticks in the box of all SL applicants and yet got the gig. They could field an unlimited number of foreigners and had 800 fans but were fast-tracked up the leagues to give their selection credibility.

Mudocks Circus as you say is the only thing pumping money into the game so lets not bite the hand that feeds you. It makes me laugh how all the fans in the lower leagues complain about how unfair it is but yet they’d probably sell their children to get in there. A little bit hypocritical there sorry.

Would Barrow not be a massive benefactor of trying to expand the game compared to teams like Widnes or Leigh?

Still I must say I’m all for a closed shop once we get the right teams in there as very few teams currently outside of SL offer that much imo to moving the game forward.
