IMO

Briers is a poor player, i have said on many occasions that the team play around Briers, last tackle, kicking game, advice and instructions everyone used to go to Briers, we looked at Briers to make our try scoring opportunities and Monaghan never got a sniff so to speak.

You seen the best of Monas in a game last year when Briers didn't play and i was saying Monaghan is pushed into the background because of Briers and he just looks ordinary or even poor on occasions, try playing Monaghan without Briers and you will see the best of him.

Today Monas played in the 1st half without Briers and even you should admit he had his best game for us, created opportunity's and even scored a try.

So im sticking with the opinion that in order to get the best out of Monaghan we need to drop Briers.

what feckin planet are you on

it was quite clearly a ploy by Tony sith to calm things down...... before briers came on the ball was simply picked up by Higham and given to Monaghan.... Gleeson was never "playing" stand off at all during that game.

 Your just contradicting yourself in that post

Looks like you have gone full time, LWF has a fair point we played better as a team when Briers was off the pitch ,We scored more points and conceded less points when he was on the bench.

I find it strange that people who don't like a player can't give them praise as if it may weaken their argument.

I'm nt a Monas fan, but I thought today and against Leeds he showed real glimpses of what he is capable of.

Briers played very well today, not everything came off, but some of his handling was getting back to his best, and his two kicks created tries. His defence was also much, much better than previous, and he showed effort to chase back and saved tries on more than one occasion.

I'm a fan of his, but can see why others are not, however let's give credit where it is due. Lee's challenge now is putting that amount of defensive effort in week in week out.

where have I contradicted myself ?
that post was in response to the guy that said Gleeson was great at half back.......

no he wasn't he didn't do anything, in fact he was the quietest player on the pitch today.....

heres where you may have been confused......
I then said the game plan was to simply give the ball to Monaghan....not anywhere in that post did i say Monaghan was ace and was the best player in the world and is better than briers...........

stop talking wet......

this will never happen again ...............I agree with you here..!! Monaghan had his best game today .......

however he went off injured .......had Briers been dropped .i.e not in the squad and not been available to bring on we would have lost that game...

and back on track this is nonsense......do you think Andy Gregory needed Shaun Edwards to be dropped to play at his best........???

if we drop Briers at the minute we weaken our team......if we bring in someone better then drop him thats a different matter....

but well done for entering some kind of discussion
