Calderwood will come good imo

The trouble is on occasions our centres fail to pass..however I am sure this will come..I think we will get the best out of Calderwood when the pitches get quicker I foresee some nice kicks going down the wing with Calderwood on the chase (which is were he excels imo)..I do not think we can knock his defensive work as he is fairly solid in that area..when Raynor returns I do not think Calderwood will be dropped..we will see..it is nice for Agar to have options which I am sure will keep them all on their toes. Do not worry about it we all get frustrated as you see when reading the posts

why is the way Calderwood plays surprising some people?
He has always lined up just off the centre's shoulder - it brings in the cut out pass into play which Leeds and Wigan utilised quite effectively when he was with them.

His current lack of ball isn't helped by the fact he has Tickle on his side of the field (as someone has already mentioned) who likes to take a pass and run back inside.... whereas Manu takes a pass and runs wider bringing in his centre/winger easier.

He really hasn't done much wrong so far - he just plays a different style which Agar doesn't seem to have a problem with.

I don't usually write much on this message board and thats because of 75% of the people who write on here are idiot's and won't know a thing about our beloved game or Hull fc and would rather talk crap 24/7.
This commitment you speak of  didn't see much commitment with a minute to go when he was jogging back to collect the ball that hall was deperate to keep in play!

Calderwood doesn't sit and look at the white lines of the touch line, he does come into the field looking for work as much as if not more than Briscoe. The fact is that that part of his game isn't his strong point. We need to utilize his attacking strengths.
For example, high kick to his corner, bats it down to Graeme Horne who scores.
Yet we only do this once?

My Irony-O-Meter just exploded.

You need to calm down a bit mate. There's no need for talk like that.

Hold on to me baby, his bony hands will do you no harm

Agree. Talk about him not looking for work is absolute rubbish. Time after time he was found on the left wing looking for work as nothing was coming to the right.

As I mentioned on another topic runs from dummy half are not his forte. Yeamans the same.

He has some great qualities as a Winger. We're just not using them.

Most people understand this. We're not used to having out and out pace in our team. There's only the odd person who cannot understand that.
