When can you take over ?
Yours hopelessly, Shaun McRae
Dear Shaun (if I may call you that),
Rest assured I have no desire to take over from you. I offered what I thought was sound advice because of what I understood you had said to the press.
I am not one of those who has booed the team off, nor have I abused individuals within the club. I did not expect to win every game we played this season; nor did I presume to think we would win 50% of our matches, but I did hope that we would be well organised so that we would be competitive for most of our games and what I think I am concerned about is the team organisation in certain areas as I think our players are better than their recent performances have suggested.

well said B.B.M.
I dont have any ideas, but you can feel the frustration of the players ,especially Myler on friday, you could see how he felt.
As for the new guys, some seem to think they have come for a holiday and a good pay packet,I cannot imagine we pay enough to make up for the abuse they are taking from some of the crowd.
Maybe some thought we were going to set superleague on fire ,but the game has moved on so much since we have been away.
True we did well last year, but we were full time so we should have done.
We are clearly not up to speed, but neither were Cas,look at them now,we need to stick with it and keep off the players backs,I know some dont agree but what else can we do ?

can somebody tell me where the game has moved on in the past year as everyone keeps saying, a tackle is a tackle, a kick is a kick, the play the ball is the same, a pass is a pass, and it has not quickened up, the only thing that is different is that there are 14 clubs and not 12 and we are not playing Warrington 4 times which might have been OK this year.
these are just excuses, to cover that Salford have actually gone backwards since KH left with regards defence and tactics, last Monday Stuart Littler stated that there was tackling practise over the weekend which was very intense, it looks to me that by Friday night a number of players had forgot about.

Obviously we can't make massive changes however it must be getting close to time to trying Ratchford at 6, Turner needs to be more involved so should maybe be switched to 13, with Mcgilvray (if fit) and Thornley coming into the backs.
San!
I think you have got it wrong most fan supporting Salford for all these years are realistic, we expect to be at the bottom come the end of the season but the frustration is bore out of a lack of idea from the team.
You must know following Salford we have been up & down a few times but most fans on here will also know we have at least competed in those games & thats where the frustration is coming from.
I am not a boo boy & I will be there following my team but we must see an improvement in the teams performance before we are down to just a few hard core die hards.
I get a little frustrated when a negative view is shown on the forum to be greeted with you know if you don't like it go & support another team at this rate we will have no supporters, we cannot all be wrong?
Fans voicing there feeling are just as frustrated & I don't know of one fan who thinks we were going to be in the top 8 we might have hoped but that all you have following our club

San and BBM.
Red coloured spectacles and all that.
The performances not just this year but last year and when we were relegated are just not up to scratch.
The play is boring, every team knows what we are going to do and the coach does not seem to have any answers.
When people say well go and support someone else that really pi$$es me off.
I know we will not win SL but I expect to be able to watch a entertaining game.
When our sum total of tactics is 5 drives and a kick then something is drastically wrong.
We need a winger, we have two injured but have another Thornley who scored on his debut.
A Wigan lad with something to prove against his home club, what did McRae do drop him, and yes he was cleared to play.
The Aussies are hurting are they well make them hurt more and drop them, as watching them is certainly painful to me.

Just to remind you we let that Donkey Pat Richards lope down the touchline like he was Martin Offiah whilst about £250,000 of rugby player collectively hit him with their handbags, not content with that embarrassment we then let Thomas Leluai dance out of more woeful lunges to plant the ball over the tryline. Tackling practise
