Steve Price is the best prop in the world, I would sign him for a one year deal with a second year mutual option depending on his fitness. Someone on this board criticised me for saying for us to sign Price, saying he is too old.
I believe that old saying 'If your good enough your old enough' should work both ways, 'If you good enough your young enough' look at Stanley Gene, Stacey Jones, Ruben Wiki. I wouldnt care if Price was 40 if he was still playing like he does I would stil sign him.
Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

Harsh on McIlorum but out of the two Tommy is better.
Thought the exact same thing myself, his and our games both go up to another level when he fits in at 9.
Tommy has good ball distribution, excellent broken field running, he's quick and hard to put down and his short kicking game is up there with all the other hookers in SL. If that isn't a skill set that's made for nine I don't know what is?
Riddell and Tommy as our interchange hookers is the best we’ve had since Newton & Godwin in fact it could even be better cause Tommy is better than Godwin.

He's 35 but still playing well, Luke Bailey could be available next year and he's only 29.

I think Tommy will be our 7 for this season and next season so McIlorum will have more than enough time to prove his worth but if he doesn't we should definitely keep Tommy on as replacement 9 instead
