With the succesful introduction of 2 refs into the NRL it must only be a matter of time before this happens over here, is there any news on this happening in the SL

Over there they had coaches telling players to bend the rules here there and everywhere to win the wrestle in a tackle.
We don't have that issue here, granted the play the balls have been slightly slower this year I reckon.
I don't see that as a particularly bad thing, if I wanted to watch tag rugby i'd go watch a kids tourney or something.
Nothing worse than props hitting the floor instantly after contact just to get a speedy play of the ball
We dont have enough at the quality needed at the moment to fill 14 spots. It might have sorted tonights game out though in respect to all the grapples and chicken wings going on by both Leeds and Saints.
we don't need the 2 refs system cos it was brought in to clean up the ruck in the NRL,which has,so far,worked...our rucks are clean,we need to speed ours up abit cos it's seems slower this season thats it,and we can do that with 1 ref..
one thing i would bring in from the NRL this season is they've stopped going to the VT for everything..the refs & touch judges are making calls, some right, some wrong..but the VT ref never got it 100% anyway..
like in the st helens v leeds game last night, there was absolutely no need to beetham & the touch judge to send senior's try upstairs for his try in the first half..grow a pair,do your job and award the try..
We can't even play the same game under the same rules! Why do we need 2 refs? How far do you go? Super League, Championship, Amateur level. What a joke our game is.

Mate, that's a pathetic post. Dont knock the 2 refs system until you have seen it. It's working over there. There is a main ref who marks the 10 and controls offside and all and the other ref stands with the attacking line keeping an eye on the ruck and the tackles. As a referee I know that it is tiring doing both jobs as in a niggly game you have to get close to the ruck to look for infringements and then try to get back to the D line as quick as possible to mark the 10 before the ball is played. That is why it speeds the game up over there. The defensive line will always be back the required distance and there will be less messing about at the play of the ball as the 2nd ref is stood over them meaning all aspects of the game are controlled.
