It's been widely reported throughout the Southern Hemisphere that Hazem El Masri has become the greatest ever point scorer in the history of top flight Rugby League.
Are our Australian friends getting like the Americans in trying to re write history. We know that the Yanks are trying to claim they invented TV, the telephone, and that they decoded the enigma device etc etc.
The Ausies are now trying to erase the careers of Neil Fox (6,220 points) and Jim Sullivan (2,687 points) in favour of El Masri (2,176 points).
There's no justification for this as both Sullivan and Fox scored their points during an era when they played in the toughest League in the world in England. They both also scored many points in the Test match arena something El Masri can hardly lay any claim to.

They haven't really tried to rewrite history.
Everything i've seen it's quite clearly stated in the summer hemisphere. Wouldn't Brian Bevan have had more points with the accumulation of all his tries?

I'm not going to go to the bother of posting all the links but beleive me 70% of the media down under is reporting it a an all time world record in top flight Rugby league.

sadly, most of our media ignores the game is played anywhere outside of australia. in fact, hazem was introduced last week on the footy show as the world record holder. those blokes have no idea, you can email complaints to fatty's facebook at http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/nrl/footyshow/feedback.aspx

Its time for a change! We need to get rid of the idiots running the RLIF before they damage the sport beyond repair!

well, I've sent him an e-mail, let's see if they take the time to correct their mistake on this week show although I doubt it.
