Saints used to be very much like us when I first started watching the game, a flair side that won very little. I quite liked them.

The they got to be quite successful, taking the mantra from the hated Wigan. I quited liked them.

Then they would regularly bring the Bulls down a peg or two when the Bulls were going well and it was dark days for us. I quite liked them.

However, there's no doubt the rivalry has intensified over the last couple of years and their fans arrogance about their place just behind us as Sl elite team these last few years has meant I now like them less.

Similar to you in SL terms, I liked them because they were the only team who would beat Wigan and Bulls to trophies. When Millward took over and turned them into cheats I started to like them less. Now they implode at Old Trafford annually I quite like them again

Why I Hate Saints by SDB

1) Leon Price Never has so much talent been wasted by such a lazy lazy man. Keeps McGuire outta the England team, yes he might have had the same results as Price but at least he'd have stood up to be counted down under. Big lower lip is also terribly annoying. Lost his bottle when he smashed it over someones head.
2) Keiron Cunningham Why is someone so tubby so good at Rugby??? Its just not fair, He can get to Greggs and still play hooker
3) Sean Long Any player that bets against there own team winning is well quite frankly a Prick! Also has ridiculous Haircuts that rape my eyes!Failed to find his balls; resulting in him leaving halfway through a tour Down Under
4) Knowsley Road poop HOLE...I just dont like it.....Surely they could do something with it (Flatten/Torch it ???) Appreciate they have plans for a New Stadium but that doesnt affect the fact Im going to be stood in a grott hole tonight
5) James Roby Good Player, like him, rate him...however....I dont think he was M.O.S in any way shape or form. So i'll throw him in there.
6) That Away Kit Now Im no marketing executive however I suspect when trying to bring in revenue a slightly nicer away kit may be more sucessful....
7)Ade Gardner I just dont like the pube faced swine....I cant help myself. I think it stems to last October when I was up at 8 on a Saturday morning to watch him give his "How to be an Atrocious Winger" 4 week short course. I mean 8am.....on a weekend??? We the rugby league fans of the world didnt deserve that?
8 ) Some of their fans Every club will have idiots in its fanbase however the more I see Saints fans the more I think idiocracy is a pre-requisite when applyin for Fan Status. We all know the type of women you dont want to have to look at for a long time whilst trying to enjoy a Rugby match. You hear her shout in her gravelly 20 a day voice "They Can't Run Without their Heads." or some other just as eloquent comment. The Cheer leaders try to numb the pain but it just won't go away. There are just too many Dobbers that are Saint Helens Fans.FACT!

I like their away kit, barring the unfortunate Saints badge, which spoils it.

Its a bit too Plymouth Argyle for me. But at Least Plymouth have "ginsters" as there sponsor. Its a pretty poor away shirt for me. Too Plain and Too Boring.

As opposed to Saints long history of dominance you mean?

Most teams dislike Saints, it comes with the territory of being the most successful side of the modern era of rugby league. Even when Leeds have won the GF, Saints are still the side most spoken about, even during a lean period for Saints in which we haven't won the championship we have still won more silverware than Leeds. We have apparently been in decline for the past 10 years yet continually represent the pinnacle of the SL. We're at this level despite having one of the worst grounds in the game. You just know as a Saints fan that teams dislike you, envy you and have a huge inferiority complex, even after beating us. Its just a case of waiting til we regain the GF again (and again as a Saints fan, you know that it wont be too long).

I like the way Leeds play rugby and I like their confidence. You always know that Leeds will give us a game and won't shirk the battle like the Bulls used to do and like Wigan do with us now. I suppose Leeds are like a mini Saints without the same flagship status.

Looking forward to tonight, should be a cracker and its tough to pick a winner but the Rhinos must be favourites.
