2 years is all we need out of a top class Prop, Lynch to me although an excellent player does not complete the ballance of the front row, we would still lack a leader/enforcer upfront which i feel is a major issue. Fitzgibbon or Petro would bring everything Lynch does to the party and that extra attribute. In an ideal world we would replace Fielden with Lynch but that is not going to happen due to having Fielden contracted till the end of next season.
Don't get me wrong Petro has been, and still is, one of my favourite props ever and although he had a good world cup and a great SOO I still think he’s a ‘fading force in the game’ and not someone we should be looking at. He’ll defiantly bring leadership to the front row but I still don’t he’s the guy for us. Is there no one who has just come into their prime now Webb would have been perfect last season and we missed out big time there.
What do you think about Ropati btw?

I get confused to be honest with the Ropati clan, is he the centre, looks a little chubby?
If so from what i have seen he is a very good player, strikes me as a bit unorthadox and prone to the odd brain fart but his style keeps the opposition guessing, he was a stand out performer for the Warriors last year. He would be my second target behind Soliola but i have a feeling Soliola is nailed on for Leeds for 2010.

of which only Bailey will be on a large wage

Along with LMS he would be my pick if he cam available
Agree but do not think he is off contract till 2011.
Trevor Thurling of the Raiders would be perfect but again not off contract this year.

I would go as far as signing up know for the 2011 season. Could you imagine him and Hock starting at Second row thats some serious impact
Id play him as a Prop but him being comfortable in either position gives us options. The lad would run through a brick wall to fight a grizzly bear if his coach told him to.
Enforcer, workhorse and a very good player. Perfect.

I love the idea of many of the names mentioned playing at Wigan, but I do still have this leaning towards UK players. And firstly UK Wigan players.
Please please if we are going to sign an aussie, let it be a truly good player, someone who will fulfill his contract, play for the club and help out the younger players. A true professional who is good enough in all areas.
