Yeaman is still faster than Welham so what does that make Welham? Never be a top threequarter?

Yeamn does fine for us, last season he scored at least two full lengthers and showed a good turn of pace against Bradford for his second try on Sunday.

Matt Gidey is a wonder of a centre and was never classed as having tons of pace, just speed off the mark, a good step and good hands.

Briscoe i one of the most powerful players I have seen in a some time and his pace is excellent, he should make the transition fom winger into centre and do so very well. The lad oozes natural athleticism and talent.

Guess you can never tell unless they both have 100m sprint with the ball in their hand.

Welham's faster than people think and his form this season has been superb. The only criticism I'd have is his tendency to dive into tackles and miss them, but you can put that down to inexperience. Right now I'd take him over most centres his age in SL.

It's the easiest thing in the world to say a kid will/will not make it, it's often down to simply taking the opportunity when it comes along and the likes of Welham and Briscoe are certainly doing that at the moment.

On numerous occassions this year Kris has belted down the wing chasing a kick to trap someone in goal, only to slow the player down with a hit or getting a hand on him, then either Colobon or Newton complete the tackle. If they're classing these as "missed tackles" then long may he continue to "miss" tackles. His enthusiasm on a kick chase is excellent and he's gained us some great attacking sets on the back of them already this year.

I agree, he does catch people, and his enthusiasm and work-rate is spot on. He does miss them on occasion though but the fact your pulling me up on my only criticism of the lad is a testament to how good he actually is.
