Just had a look then and I think the cheapest you can get it for now is £49, that is just going via York though.

Get one of the kind souls who have pre booked the cheap train tickets to phone up and say their tickets have been lost in the post. They then get sent extra tickets and you get to share the cost.

Whats the risk of ticket being checked and refused? Besides I need 3 tickets so not much chance.

Hillbilly Red & I will be in attendance both days, though if looking a tad worse for wear, that will be down to McStouffer organising curry and real ale tour of selected Edinburgh locations - hic

It might be cheaper to ignore the Trainline.co and go and ask at a Northern railway station, ie Victoria.
Yesterday I went on the Trainline website about times and costs of trains to Leeds for today, according to them cheapest ticket for my times 7.30am was £22.40 return, no bother to me work paying, imagine my surprise when i went to Moorside this morning to buy said ticket, cost £17.40 return £5.00 cheaper than the trainline, so saturday i am going in to see how much they can do Edinburgh for.
