the tickets are pretty "price in-elastic" ie we have a core and they turn up if its 10 pound or 20, if we halved the prices could we say that double the number of fair weather fans would turn up to make the cost difference?

I agree though, the prices are far too high for Rugby & especially our ground and will detract people from going...particular when theycant spend any of their profits on a light bulb for the toilet

Based on the current SL teams, there will always be 3 home games a season where the away support is low to non-existent.

We may not have brass to burn, and we can't afford a Huddersfield style gamble at the moment, but we should still be able to treat these games as a potential loss-leader to attract new fans, IMO.

The offer made by the club obviously wasn't sufficient to entice people. Lets hope they come up with something more appealing before we play Quins/Celtic. The losses for these games with special offers should be relatively small, but the way we're playing at the moment, the benefits could be huge.

Agreed.

We aint goin to attract big crowds for 3 games a year. The hardcore will turn out whatever, Why not experiment with a few ideas to try and
increase our base support by offering cheap deals on these 3 match days?

Buy a 3 game bundle get a game free?

How about this for next friday http://www.wakefieldwildcats.co.uk/moth ... 05303.html

Good offer for what will be one of the games of the season at BV, well done to the club, let's hope it's not just the faithful that take it up

so that will be 2 games when season ticket holders lose out, i can't remember the exact benefit from buying a ticket early but if this happens more often then we will be losing out.

sorry to be negative but the benefits of buying a season ticket are being eroded.

And that just about sums up the club's position with promotions, they're damned if they do and damned if they don't. Whatever promos they put on someone will think they are losing out, but I wouldn't imagine that they're going to do this for every home game otherwise they will lose a fortune so s/t holders will still finish the season with an advantage over non s/t holders, but for one of our biggest and most attractive games of the season to be on Sky it won't do us any harm to show outsiders that we can fill the ground.

I know what you mean but surley you would prefer to see a bigger attendance, which would mean the club putting some sort of deal on.

That's got nowt to do with it

But then again if you want to support your team you should not need a offer on to make you want to go all the time
