Sunday's reported 4500-5000 FC fans at Odsal must be our biggest away following for a game against Bradford since the 79-80 Challenge cup 1/4 final. At least half of the 20000+ crowd were FC that day. Remember Sammy Lloyd scoring a penalty in the 3-0 win. Can't remember who got the drop-goal though!
I remember the teams coming down the steps from the top where the changing rooms was and the roar that went up made the hairs stand up on your neck. One of Hull's greatest ever defensive display IMO

yeah it was a great day, it used to take the teams about 10 minutes to walk from the sheds to the pitch, bearing in mind it wasnt full time trainin in them days i bet some of them were that knackered at the end they could hardly get back up the hill!
remember being stood on a grassy verge that day to the right of where the home fans now stand, was a fantastic atmosphere

Lost in the final to a team that had never won it before and has never won it since.
Thus was ale at first created... best of drinks for prudent people; Women soon it brings to laughter. Men it warms into good humour, but it brings the fools to raving.
