Seriously stop and think about what you’re saying.
Your advocating signing two players who although good are declining forces within the game! We can sign both of them and I’m sure they’ll put in some good performances, fans will love them and occasionally they may produce a moment or two of genius. But after they leave what do we do then? We are back to square one constantly recruiting the same positions over and over. It also effects other areas of the team as when you have a prop and HB coming off contract every two seasons it means you can’t necessarily strengthen the other areas you want to as the SC won’t stretch that far.
Saints on the other hand will probably just sign McCarthy Scarsbrook and Fox at the end of the season and cause they are good players with a hell of a lot of potential they’ll slip straight into the Saints team and bang Saints have covered two areas in their team for the next five to eight years and then can look at strengthening other areas knowing these are covered for a long time to come.
I know which policy I’d rather see us adopt.
