Ferguson has also played for England Academy, has never played in NL1 (what a blow), his ratio of SL games to tries stacks up perfectly with Westerman.
The number of games he has played are irrelevant as you can't play with no shoulder - had Westerman been injured all last season what would his figure be, that is a truly absurd comparison.
Ditto the Independent ratings, Westerman was playing NL1 at the time and thus got game time. Ferguson was playing SL and finding it somewhat difficult to dislodge more established first team SL players - you get my drift.
Westerman has simply had a head start and lucky him. I can confirm Kear rates him as highly as Westerman, can't imagine he rates him higher - but then why would he I don't See there lays the difference, here at Wakey we are secure enough to realise that good things happen elsewhere and there may well be TWO equelly good players at both clubs. I know you lot will never admit that, too much face to be lost
disagree.................didn't type my earlier post for the fun of it. He is entitled to his opinion.................because it's his

In every ferguson - westerman post you create I always point out, as tigersteve did, that it's great that both clubs are producing talent. It is you who continually creates threads to try and quash the buzz around Westerman in comparison to Ferguson. It smacks awfully of jealousy, because there's no relative basis for comparing them. They are both young, but they are also two very different players, the difference being that one has been in the England squad and is the current SL Young Player of the Year and the other one isn't. That seems to be enough to rile you into creating threads continuously belittling Westerman, why do you care?

So where in this thread have I belittled Westerman?

Chip on shoulder or what.
Perhaps not belittle, but why do you feel the need to continually make comparisons between the two when, by your own admission, they are totally different players?

You stated that there was no reason for JK to think Fergie was better than Westerman because you didn't. I was just pointing out that my earlier post indicating that JK thinks Fergie is better was based on the fact that he said it............not just speculation or opinion. I'm really not bothered either way, just pleased we have good young English players to talk about. And to be fair, I have not or don't profess to have any working knowledge of Mr Kear's mind as you suggest, but the fact that he said it straight after a good home win, in which Fergie played very well, maybe he was just 'caught up in the moment', it does happen. Maybe if JK was asked the question in different circumstances he would answer differently (not that any such question was asked, he voiced his opinion voluntarily)...........
after all JK is human..............................and so am i

No what I said was....why would he - I don't. It's rather a leap to suggest I meant he wouldn't because I don't. Legend I may be but I never claim to carry that much sway

Two fold really...why not. Secondly because when I first suggested to Cas fans some (not suggesting it was you) laughed at the mere idea. To compound it many Trinity posters did similar. Yet I could see no reason for this and backed myself - I'm not always right - I backed Julian O'Neil but on this occasion I knew I was on a winner.
In all honesty although you lot have annoyed me with the blatant over hyping of Westerman (who I do actually rate) I couldn't help but admire the way you do it and have stated so on many occasions. I had a hunch with this lad and have tried to open the jaded eyes of many Trinity fans and help them see what is in front of them. Bit like the Greg Bird thing. I get my ear chewed off and become Mr unpopular for a while but they get over it and at the end of the day debate is created and opinions if not changed are at least challenged. Westerman just makes a great comparison as they are different but still similar enough.
I'm great me, not awesome no siree bob, but deffo great
PS: Not been wrong about Cas stadium either have I. Again no real issue with it just wanted to let you know it was far more complex than some would have it - still is - for both of us
