Hicks is a very good player, but he is getting on a bit now, and I'd be surprised if you went for him.

Also, if you are looking for a kicker, he probably isn't your solution. His success ratio last year was 2nd worst in the league. We do score many of our tries out wide due to our style, but he isn't a great kicker.

Why do you need a kicker when you've got Foster?

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

If Saints signed a player such as Hicks who at 33 would be in the twighlight of his career it would be indicative of the stupidity of Super League clubs and a singular example of the lack of opportunity given to promising young players. We need to steer well clear of players such as this and give local, nglish lads a chance.

I had no idea Hicks was that old.

He's a decent player, but the only circumstances under which we should consider signing a 33 yr old Aussie is if he is a player of the absolute highest calibre.
