Yeh actually id jus written that and then went on to watch the highlights to realise it was Quinn.

I know stats are not the most accurate measure of real playing ability but after 5 rounds of Super League; Kris Welham has missed more tackles than any other player in the entire league. Even more than any player from teams like Salford and Warrington who are shipping considerably more points than Hull KR.
Most Missed Tackles 2009
1 Kris Welham Hull KR 23
2 Luke Robinson Hudds 22
3 Scott Moore Hudds 20
4 Scott Murrell Hull KR 20
5 Gareth Hock Wigan 20

That surprises me, wouldnt expect Murrell or Hock to be down there either, although i think most of Hocks 20 came on Friday night!

I don't now if it applies to SL or to Welham, but I remember reading an NRL player complain that he was 'credited' with missed tackles because he was more willing to chase lost causes to cover his colleagues mistakes - that if you get a finger tip on someone it is missed tackle.

TBH though I can't remember any of his missed tackles been bad though, causing a try etc, it's taken out of context anyway.

Everyone goes on about Craig Hall's defence being poor, but Welhams is just as bad but nobody mentions it
Cant agree with any of that, pretty solid in defence and puts in some huge hits, yes he misses the odd tackle but none that have sent out any worrying signals that he has a defensive problem. His kick chase game is also of the highest standard.quote]

To be fair his defence stats arent as bad as Chev Walker.
Murrell needs to stop trying to "clean out" everyone he tackles and simply tackle the man and wrap the ball up. Sometimes it pays off like against Brad Drew but he needs to be a little more selective cos his defence is excellent when he keeps it simple.
Agree about Whelam, but a stint out of the team might help him focus on his weaknesses before he gets another chance.
Chev gets a lot of stick for isolated cases when smaller centres side-step him but that is merely a consequence of being 6ft 4" and the best part of 17st. The guy simply needs to be left to do his job and we'll start to see the best of him.

It was Quinn who has an uncanny look of Luke Dyer out on the pitch.
