U2 have just announced that they will be playing a concert at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday 22 August, same day as Crusaders face Rhinos in Bridgend. This will have a massive effect on accomodation so book now to avoid disappointment.

You can go to http://www.crusadersrfl.com/accommodation.htm for a list of hotels in the Bridgend area. Alternatievely go online for hotels in areas further afield.

Tickets for the U2 concert go on sale this Friday so should be okay if you act fast.

Just thought you should know.

Good work lad.

Temptation, greets you like your naughty mate,
The one that used to get you in bother,
But one that you could never bring yourself to hate.

Thanks for advising.

Although with that in mind I would not be suprised to see the game switched, and possibly to Friday night on sky again.

What with it being the week before Wembley, a traditional weekend away for a lot of people myself included, I can't see many people being able to afford the expense of another overnight trip.

In saying that, the heads up is greatly appreciated.

That is exactly what I was about to type.

Shame for Celtic but I feel this date will rob them of a potential bumper crowd.

Quote:Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

We've really not been lucky with the long distance fixtures this year. There's this one, and then 'Quins away falls a fortnight after Catalans, which is just over a week after we get back from Spain.

Only possible positive is the Magic weekend, but even then there's the chance of a long trip in the Challenge Cup the week after.

They didn't. A lot of people (myself included mot years but probably not this year) go to the final anyway. It attracts a lot of neutral supporters for the day out. Although I'm sure you knew that.

Fair enough, i just thought it sounded like Leeds would make the final meaning a large number of fans would skip the long trip to wales and save for the week after. Looking back I see your point
