There's a real togetherness in that squad. Dropped balls, penalties, try's, hits, good kicks, bad kicks, these guys all pull each other together.
Kevin Penny - What ever you think of him, he's damn good at rallying everyone in the squad. Him and Riley who have been in the first team both demand more from their teamates in a bid to raise their games.
I only caught bits of the game but what I did see was very professional.
I remember his debut against Leeds and we went a few tries down and he was the one clapping and telling everyone they could do better.
At the time I had no idea who he was and thought where did we get this experienced pacey Aussie from. Turns out I was wrong!

what I was trying to get across is that the thread is titled U21's and it should be titled Reserve's as it is not an U21 team they are posting about it is the Reserve team as stated on the club website.
having previously been known as the U21s - and it is correct that teams are allowed a certain number of over 21s to play, a number that changes almost every year. For 2009, reserve teams are allowed 8 players over the age of 21.

dont think it has anything to do with bastion at all. I think the fact that there are presently five or six regulars in the present first team squad (Watkins, Allen, mcshane, Gibson, Jones Bishop)due to injuries, 2 key players released due to attitude(Howie), players transferred (Kaye)1 key player out on loan (Moore), 1 key forward season long injury (Jones), plus 2 or 3 injured.
presently playing with a large percentage of 17 and 18 year old kids who are out of their depth playing against teams containing a number of first team squad members, so understandably struggling. I am sure that come the business end and the play offs, with players dropping back down nobody will want to be playing Leeds in knockout stages.

McShane and Jones-Bishop both played in Leeds reserves v Wigan on Friday night.
