Quite so, he appeared to be setting off on his holidays. What good is a defensive stat if it doesn't recognise a player foul up that resulted in a try? Donald could do that every game and never miss a tackle according to Opta.

Was that a missed tackle or an error? He had one error according to the online version which I presume was the kick into touch on the first after Ian Smith had correctly restarted the tackle count.

I commented on that at the time on here. He was credited with the assist V Celtic to Hall but not with his assist to the same player at Hull KR. They were practically identical involvements from McShane with if anything the second V Hull KR being slightly more worthy but not according to Opta.
Leeds have scored 20 tries so far in SL with only 10 try assists yet only one of the twenty was scored from a run from dummy half (Lauitiiti V Wakefield.)
Six tries against Wigan, three with assists and three without. None were individual efforts so there's obviously an involvement more than a simple pass needed to qualify. Clearly highlighted by Sinfield providing the final pass for three tries and only receiving one try assist. But what about the Lauitiiti pass to Hall on Friday, nada in the try assist column for Ali so basically WTF does a try assist look like if that wasn't one?
But people still quote them as if they are the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
