I was quite close to where all the abuse was given and I was ashamed being a Warrington fan. Some of the people giving the abuse were obviously leathered and if it does that to you then....
Good on you Matt for apologising. I'm sure though that not many would not have reacted in some way. We now need to come together as a club, players, staff and supporters. We win together, and we lose together.

Fair play to King.
Always comes across as a likeable bloke and it's not his fault he's on (reputed) silly money - but with a fat pay packet comes fat responsibility and I don't think anyone would argue he's underperformed. He was made to look a monkey by Gidley at KR but having said that, he's not the first nor will he be the last.
Hope he comes good as it would be a shame to see his career grind to a halt in SL. Can't help but think he's just an over hyped big lad though, no class in his game from what I've seen.
Anyway, good on you Matt and I hope the Wire fans get behind you at the weekend.
If the abuse was as bad as what people are making out should this "fan" be banned from the ground for a period of time? I know there has been a full appology on both parties but King will get into trouble with the club yet the person who caused it wil get away scott free.

Well done to Matt King, It takes a lot to admit he was wrong even though he is on a good wedge, so well done again.
I have seen him at the ground after he was injured by Mathers last year and he was polite with my family, he seemed to be a nice guy.
Quite frankly he can make all the hand gestures he wants if he starts to perform to the level he is allegedly capable of.
I would have no problem in personally telling Matt King that he should do the job he is being well paid to do. He needs reminding that he is in a priveliged position as are the rest of the squad.
It's not unreasonable to equate a player's wages with expectation of performance.
King was not the worst player on the field on Saturday, he didn't drop the ball, miss tackles galore, give penalties or kick like a crab. He did make at least one good run.
But he is reputedly on fantastic money - and his performances haven't backed that up. I assume as we are paying him good money, he was a good player in Australia. He hasn't been a good player for us - yet.

Despite that, I can also see why he reacted in that way, recieving a barrage of personal abuse isn't going to entice any other reaction except that type.
same gesture brown give warrington fans at challange cup match at widnes a few years ago, dont recall his apology
