We kicked 1 all last season. Ive never realised why we dont go for this more often, i think its a great play and can win you games with field position.

Is there a main reason why we dont utilise it more often (apart from we are turd).

Not quite as easy as that.

Its not as if getting these 40/20 is childs play.

I dont get why we dont see teams kick from a 20 metre tap, or has this rule been scrapped now?

That Wigan kicked none at all is most suprising given we had Trent last season.

I can remember Long doing it in the GF I think but it was given as a Leeds scrum, but I maybe wrong.

If memory serves, Andy Farrell was one of the first British players to kick one. I may be wrong here, but I seem to recall it was in a Friday night match against Hull, our first home game that year. He kicked it at the end of our first set of six - and I remember thinking 'this new rule is going to be meat and drink to Faz'. And then he didn't kick another one until some time the next season.

Or maybe my memory's playing drinks. Have drunk a lot of beer since then.

Bring back Bill Ashurst, he would have had a field day with this rule

its a lil harder to hit a 40/20 at the jjb, its a whole lot bigger than the other grounds, and i suppose when you play away you dont feel as confident, but that said have lulu smith or even tomkins got a kick big enough to reach with the distance :?
