Just my take on this, but I'm not sure who exactly the 'person' in question is. As it's been stated already the reaction appears to have come after someone who was not drunk, simply questioned Kings effort/role in the side over the past 12 or so months, without the use of foul or abusive language, and therefore has nothing to apologise for. If that was the straw that broke the camels back, then so be it, but if others were handing out personal/obscene abuse its not fair to scapegoat someone for something they haven't done.

Well done Matt King.
Hopefully now as people have said we see more of what we were expecting from him.
Confidence has a big part to play in sport .
We all have the right to express our opinion but this needs to be chanelled in the right direction.
Lets draw a line and let TS get on with his job.

I have seen the light and its Primrose and Blue.

Well I dont mind coming on here and saying that I gave Matt King some stick on Saturday and at other times too. Not just him but all of the team.

HOWEVER.. I would never do what that fan did and stand there and personally abuse the guy though.. I have vented my frustrations from the terraces a few times as im sure most have recently. (Although I couldnt hear what was said)

Good on Matt King for making a public statement. I have sent an email of support to Matt King via club email. Im not sure it will reach him but sent it in anyway.

From what I saw there were 2 different blokes that both went to Matt King and abused him. The stewards were terrible on Sat so much so i am intending on complaining about one of the senior stewards.

Well done Matt King. The TEAM were shocking on Sat not just one player, and because he is getting the big bucks he is the one getting in the neck. Watching him when people are mauling him with no constructive critism but personal abuse is very uncomfortable to watch. Yes he has not by no means reached his full potential as a player and i'm pretty sure he knows that, we have reached rock bottom now so now I think its time we try and get behind him and the rest of the team. I know people we say we pay good money, don't we all, but if you don't want to support your team don't pay the money simple as. Sadly as fans we have to take the highs with the very bad lows.

He was personally making King a target at the top of his voice screaming and waving his arms like an idiot. He could have been saying anything. King overracted and apologised. He should do the same.

Now The Wire.

I'd never boo/abuse a Wire player or coach (Apart from Lowes) and the abuse to Matt King before the incident I don't agree with. But the further abuse/boos he got after the incident I fully support though I wouldn't partake myself. He has to make it up to the fans on sunday.

If the incident that sparked all this was indeed about something I said/shouted.

I'll raise my hand and say I directed unfair abuse towards Matt and some of the others.

I regretted it more or less instantley

As it was pointed out, I was sober and the words that were shouted were commenting on the fact he won't get dropped some the best thing to be done was for him to get a ban.

Yes this is wrong and I was at my breaking point.

I did not take offence to it and i hope nor has Matt King.

After the incident I did not go down to the side line, to carry on the abuse.

Please take this a genuine apology.

Thanks

We now need to adopt a siege mentality all round - players / fans /officials - we are one big team, let's start acting like one.

Remember, we have no divine right to win every game !

one or two wouldnt go amiss though lol

I don't think you should have to apologise for an opinion that wasn't abusive or violent
