Four games in, three at home. 1 point.
Crap.
Yes Mr M, people WILL talk about you. The reason for this is simple. You seem to have no idea what you are doing, your signing policy is utterly rubbish, tactically you lack ability and it appears that your players have no respect for you either.
Whilst we accept you have signed a couple of youngsters from Cumbria, you have also signed a pile of less than average players and made us a laughing stock.
Of course some people will say that we have a good pack and that may be so but it is a shame that we have one of the worst H/B pairings in the league. It is all well and good having a great pack but it is worthless when you get the ball to inept backs who undo all the good work. Still, as long as we have ten second rowers in the squad we will do ok won't we?
Your bravado is bemusing at best. People are having a go at you because you appear to be dragging us down further as every week passes. Every week we hear how you have learned from your mistakes but what exactly have you learned?
You do not have the decency to walk away and you appear to be protected by a spineless Chairman who is good at making all the right noises but not so good at delivering the goods. In fact, you two are a bit like the teacher and the pupil it seems.
Every week you embarrass yourself further by telling us how you are getting it right, only to get it even more wrong. Admit you cannot handle it and take some dignity out of this because few seem to have any faith in you anymore.
The irony of it all is that the perceived lack of money at Odsal (despite the chairman suggesting otherwise) is helping you keep on side with some fans as you hands appear to be tied. The apparent lack of money is probably what keeps you in a job. You were a cheap appointment and we marketed you well. That is not your fault that the PR did well at the start of your tenure but they also look silly now.
You should have walked after you shamed us in the Wigan game in the play-offs in 2007 and a stronger board would have ensured you had to go. Three years into your job and and you have appeared to have done nothing.
You say you will "fight on" but I doubt too many people are listening anymore. After all, you have a dreadful record in backing up your promises with actions. Quite simply, you do not seem to know what you are doing.
Kind regards
I fully agree with the points made

Your dismissive tone of youth development does you a disservice. Most people, fans of McNamara or otherwise, accept it is vital to any club's well-being. Your phrasng heavily implies it is of little signficance compared to recruitment for the first team.

Both?
But the thing is everyone is ascribing our influx of youth players down solely to McNamara. That's not the case. There's a scouting system in place that's doing that job. Any coach could come in and we'd likely still have the players coming in

McNamara has been the club's USP from what I have heard. You think Leeds, Saints and Wigan don't have scouting systems?

All coaches have finite useful spells at clubs, even Wayne Bennett. Whether MacN will make a top coach or not I think there comes a time when he loses the dressing room, to use a current expression. That's the time to go.
