In the past people would pick rumours up in the pub when they met up, or at the ground on matchday. Nowadays, the internet and text messaging means that a rumour can be made up and spread in minutes.
It stuns me how many people have seen the likes of Bridge, Briers and Gleeson up to all sorts.
Perhaps I walk round with my eyes shut, but my dealings with players have only ever been professional (apart from on the pitch!). I go to town like many others, but have only ever seen a couple of players a couple of times. Of course I have had friends who have 'seen' things like most other people.
I just try not to get involved with spreading rumours and leave it to the club to sort. I have faith in TS.
i can testify to that, i've posted stuff on here for a giggle in the past(nowt malicious) which has resulted in me getting phone calls within 48 hours from ppl i know cos it's done the rounds.
