well i have to say we got down to sheffield quite early, for one main reason, i wanted a few scoops in the excellent pub the cocked hat, uimagine my dismay and shock when parking outside it to find it shoot, gutted wasn't the word i tell you, it seems to be up for sale, shame as it is/was a belter of a pub, serving excellent real ale, well at least i can comfort myself with the 3 points we got.

The other pub had Stones and John Smiths yuk. I settled for a single pint of guinness. Pleasant staff but I went to watch the game primarily which we won so that,ll do me.

Agree with Wolrab tho the ale was better at the pub which has shut down.Ah well Donny next away game maybe there,ll be a decent pint there before the game.

the pub at sheffield was called faras i think. when rolled up it was full of leythers will ave to ring round clubs towns n find all real ale pubs i am partial to a real ale or 2. will keep ya posted as i work all over country so will try an call in at a few

Whilst not wishing to put off anyone from going to Toulouse I have been informed of 2 real ale pubs there and I shall post where they are nearer the time.


I will be trying them both Peanut with 2 schoolfriends. We don,t use bad language in front of Ladies or kids but I can,t help joining iin with the flute song. If you go I,ll buy you a beer or a vin rouge .
