That's not entirely accurate.
Some of his offloads are too high risk, many are not.

That comment would be fair enough two seasons ago, even possibly last year, but he has worked hard on his discipline and now gives very few penalties away. Lockers has given more away this year.
I was annoyed when he was adjudged to have knocked on several times against Leeds, but when I got home and watched it on TV, it was obvious that the Leeds players had been coached to reef the ball out against Hock whenever possible, knowing the ref would suspect it was a knock on based on experience. The ref even got it right on one occasion.

He might not be the sharpest tool in the box, but so what? Some of the greatest natural sporting talents haven't been - Paul Gascoigne, Prince Naseem - it accounts for little really.
