For the record Stubblesteve, I do not agree with my staff receiving personal abuse at all. I find it quite disturbing you would think anyone would agree with their staff being abused. We have full measures in place to address this issue.

The point here is that as a representative of any company you may receive abuse - it's how you deal with it is the measure of both you as an individual and your company as a responsible employer.

So please get off your high horses about him showing the finger. The behaviour of a fair number of individuals on this forum and at the ground is far worse than Matt Kings actions.

I wish that a couple of seasons ago Mike Wainwright had given the fans the old two fingered salute after the constant criticism he took or Jon Clarke had after the abuse directed his way.

How supporters expect players to perform to the best of their ability whilst being subjected to the barrage of criticism they constantly receive from Warrington fans is beyond me.
So lets continue in this vein shall we ... lets boo King onto the pitch next week because thats sure to make him perform better. Lets abuse Monaghan during the game because its really going to improve his performance isnt it.

And lets all boo the team if they concede the first try of the match next week as seems to now be the norm.

So, fair play to you Ma tt King - I'd love to stick 2 fingers up to a number of Warrington fans as well.

Finally, well said that man, I'm in 100% agreement

King was nowhere near the worst Wire player yesterday, and it was a little shocking how much of scapegoat some have made him. I didn't see any hand gestures, but I did see one incident in the second half where a p1sshead ran over to the wall close to where he was standing and gave him a mouthful of abuse, to which he said something back. After there several more p1ssheads tried doing the same.

I can understand the disappointment, but I really don't think the level of abuse coming from some Wire fans is going to make it better, besides making a scapegoat out of King is misguided, at least he tried.

I wondered what that was all about - I missed the hand gesture but did see the moron running over to the rail to shout abuse at him.

The whole thing is totally out of order - King was still trying hard to the end more than could be said for some.Hicks in particular looked like he couldn't be bothered - bottling collecting the kick through for Quins penultimate try.
I actually felt sorry for him to be honest - he doesn't deserve that. And I don't think that just because you pay your money means that you can behave like that.

Also - I saw one bloke with a busted nose at half time. Overhearing urinal chat - it sounded like one of our own fans had smacked him. Does anyone know what that was all about?

King is uffering because when you signed him he was a current Aussie test player with a big rep. From what I've seen of Warrington he has recieved little to no service out wide so I'm not sure what you expect him to do. When I first saw Monaghan I was impressed, I thought he looked a decent signing for you lot but maybe he just cant form a partnership with briers??
