This game was the reason that I dont go anymore.
The club is too much of a clique.Everyone from the board to the souvenir shop should be shut of.Backroom staff, goodbye aswell.Smith needs to bring in his own mob and ideas and be shut of anybody with a Warrington connection.

Incidently,I dont believe Smith to be a world class coach that he's cracked up to be,but only time will tell.

And finally,I've said it before and will do so again,Since Simon Moran came onto the board, the club has regressed. Its a good job KR are here next week,or we would'nt have got 7000 in the ground.

It won't take 3 to 5 years to sort ya team out. It could take the next 3 games.

If u win few on the bounce and gain confidence your season would turn round.

I know it's bad but beleive me dire will be in top 5 at the end of year

Exactly, its a confidence thing. Its gets us nowhere rebuilding and rebuilding. Make a few changes maybe drop a few players give a few younger guys ago, we will keep going round and round in circles if we continue to ship in and ship players out on big contracts.

Don't know what's wrong with your side at the moment, but you are just not playing like a team that believes in itself.
You were in the game for the first 15 minutes or so, we scored & then you replied & it was definatley nip & tuck for this first period.
Then you just seemed to give up!!
I kept waiting for your team to come back at us, but it never happened.
For all the talent that your side has, I think that this is the poorest team display that I have seen you put up against us ever!!
Talking to your supporters today, there seems to be a drink & "EGO" problem with your squad at the moment.
Hopefully Tony Smith can sort the problem out, as you have underachieved
for the past 2 or 3 seasons.
Keep the faith, cos things will get better.
You reached an all time low today & the only way is up.

Simon Moran joined the Wire board in the late 90s, when the club were in a really bad mess. With the introduction of Peter Deakin, the momentum started with pushing the club forward. We were getting crowds of around 5000 at Wilderspool at that time, averaging 7000 when we left. The buzz of moving to a new ground brought in the crowds. Since then with Morans as owner we have bought international class players and are competing with the bigger teams for the signatures. We have regulary had crowds of 12 or 13000 against the big teams at the HJ, which before we moved I never thought we would have achieved. Now where things have gone wrong is that the team havent produced winning results consistently and that has been our problem for years. What the reasons behind that I wish I knew.

Crowds are declining and that IMO is down to the poor results. Only last week I read that we have 5000 season ticket holders, compare that to a couple of seasons ago when we had nearer 7 or 8000.

So how can the decline be down to Moran?

Were they bad enough to make you think they might not play for a while ? I've said on another thread, I think we'll see Gleeson at stand off from next week, I'm just wondering from somebody who was actually there ?

I'd like to see a few of these turn out for the reserves for a while to tell you the truth, not just for a week like, for a few weeks, like Penny has been doing for his 'crimes'. I think Monaghan, Briers et al should be shown up, the real slackers, Rauhihi is another who for me doesn't pull his considerable weight.

I think a chap said it on another thread, ask them directly do you want to play for this club ? If no, turn out at Wilderspool, every Saturday, in front of 100 people, and know that your facing the prospect of doing this for two & a half years if needs be, if the money means that much to you, then good on you, if you can afford a drop, instruct your agent to get you an NRL club asap, and we'll call it quits for the money you've stolen so far.

If the players think they can take on Smith, they are wrong, they are wrong for a start because I think we've all had enough of them, collectively we've had a gutful of them. We've shifted the blame everywhere, Cullen, Lowes, Moran, it's the players, they don't work hard enough & they don't want it, and if I had to choose, I'd back Smith tomorrow, if he wanted to get rid of all 25 of them, play the reserves until the end of the season, and bring in people that he trusts to work hard for our club, I'd back him 100%, the players need to realise, the fans are speaking now, they can't hide anywhere, the blame is firmly being placed at their feet, and should Smith want to weed out 1,2,5,10 whatever, the fans will back him.

An eloquent summary of the rant I made to my dad at the Armenian Taverna in Manchester tonight.

Well done.

I know it's a tired cliché, but I'll watch our u21s, plus the players in the team who actually give a damn, get tonking after tonking rather than the current shower. We have no fear of relegation, let's get rid of the cancerous elements that have ruined everything we once believed in.

The Armenian place near the Town Hall? I've always fancied it but never got there, would you recommend it?

Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

That's the one, mate.

Easily my favourite eatery in the city.

I'm a veggie myself, and the vegetarian banquet is quite exquisite, but I'm told the other options are equally good.

Smith should teach the first team a lesson next week and put the reserves out against Hull KR, please.

DANNY LOCKWOOD - LEAGUE WEEKLY (18-5-09)

I'M SURE THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN THE FACT THAT THE FRONT RUNNERS FOR THE 2009 MEDIA WHINGING AWARD ARE FROM GATESHEAD AND HULL FC, FORMERLY THE B*ST*RD-TWINS OF ONE OF RUGBY LEAGUE'S LOUSIER IDEAS.
