When a coach wants to sack a player and the board refuses as they dont want the bad press then you create an environment where the players rule knowing that the board will back them over their boss.

I heard you where in negotiations to offload him to an unknown team but they decided he wasn't good enough, the unknown team has a game tomorrow at 11:15 in hull and district league thats how s**t he is
"They'd butt each other like a pair of billy goats and would both look like a mess at the end of the game. I'd often see Billy an hour later sharing a beer with his rival, with both blokes sporting half a dozen stitches in their scones. They were a breed apart, fornt-rowers - blokes like Bluey were proof of that." Johnny Raper on Billy Wilson and other front rowers of the time

Back to Briers, did Steve Anderson try to instigate a swap deal in 2002, Briers for Turley? I heard it at the time, but never thought much of it tbh.
We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die The first ones in line for that pie-in-the-sky And we're always the last when the cream is shared out For the worker is working when the fat cat's about

bbc are transmitting again, blokes cocking up his brief summary report, re-recording it.
fantastic, they're arguing about doing it again, to emphasize it's warrington's worst ever start, and tony smith has said we've hit rock bottom.
