Let the new coach work with the players. Let him sort the low confidence ones from the ones who don't care and well make moves during the off season.
A real low today but we will get better.
Fair enough, off loading a vast number of the squad would indeed be a bit silly.
However, I think the time has come for Tony Smith to drag EVERY member of the squad into his office individually, and for him to ask each of them the simple question...
'DO YOU STILL WANT TO BE AT THIS CLUB NEXT SEASON?'
Any no's (Gleeson, Monaghan, probably King) should be immediately dropped from the side, and placed on the transfer list and replaced with youngsters.
All those wishing to stay should be closely monitored, and not given an affirmative answer to their future at the club until the very LAST game of this season.

It's always in the future for you lot, what about the present?

Saints by plenty, by miles even!

HKR are about as poor as it gets.

Shame it doesn't keep the sound like the full east stand of HKR. That's atmosphere.

We wanting to offload them and the players agreeing to it are wholly different propositions.
Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

the present was a 60 point drubbing away at quins, so we need to look forward to next week(the future) the rest of the season(the future) and next year and onwards(still the future) whereupon smith can hopefully undo some of the damage done by lowes(past) and to a lesser extent cullen(also past)

Can it change in a week?

we thoguht it had changed partly in a thursday afternoon and friday at the leeds game last week, we seem to have regressed badly in a week, that is unless the players were sulking and trying to send smith a message, by playing badly on purpose,
of couse, i couldn't possibly suggest that at all could i.

We should take the game though.

I have a feeling the only backlash will be from the fans.
Union is played by people who close airports after a bit of snow, League is played by people who would go and have a snowball fight with a 747
