What about players that are out of finals series, could be 6 weeks without a game going into origin
32 regular season games + finals + rep = injury tolls... hasnt thought about it really.

Yeh those olden days when you did a days work, two nights training, played 32 league games, county cups, county championships, play offs, tests and challange cup were pretty soft.
The current crop arn't half doing it the hard way compared to those softies

No he didn't, as a 16 team league would have 30 games in a full home and away season. Didn't he say there would be 2 rounds per week?

A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. It was the first time I had seen the show and I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the fact that RL was discussed at an intelligent level.
Over here, Sky and the BBC position everything at the beginner, which is fine at first, but then it starts to grate. Many of the people watching the matches are RL fans and understand the technicalities. I don't feel we have the balance right here.
Also, on the Brett Stewart issue, it was very refreshing to see that the NRL CEO and the panel were happy to discuss this issue, rather than holding back, which would definitely have happened here.
