this yobbish trend needs stamping out smartish imo.

I think the police got them in the end - some young wigan fans were making racist comments as well and the stewards got them out, fair play to burgess he picked it up and pretended to drink from it but it could have been a lot worse

It is a hard pill to swallow but unbelievably true.

If it is some Wigan fans, it's disgraceful and will no doubt be drunken teenagers who are responsible.

dont think you can just stereotype the fighting to the drunk teenagers, stood at quins 2 weeks ago and there was a fight between 2 grown men (wigan fans) behind the sticks.

i think its more a general problem, last season i went to the grand final and some leeds fans where fighting with themselves over a seat, when there was like 5 rows of empty seats behind them. Its pathetic when fans fight with themselves, and hopefully those who where giving the racist comments get truly dealt with because that is pathetic.

I've taken last night loss pretty well.

The game for me was over after they scored their first two tries and there was indications through out the 80 mins to suggest it simply wasn't going to be our night. At the end of the day, Leeds were clinical with their finishing and everything came off for them where it was completely the opposite for us.

The effort was there as was the attempt to play expansive Rugby League, and I think that's the reason why many Wigan supporters aren't devestated in regards to last nights result.

Oh well.

As i said at the beginning of this thread just after coming out the ground we played for the full 80 which after going down so many points in 20 mins i thought showed the guts in the team i also said we made some bad decisions and so did the officials. After watching it again on TV i am of the same opinion we tried to play our way out of trouble and it did not work but if we had gone back to basics of 5 drives and a kick the team would have been slated. Ian Smith did not have a good game but he was the man incharge so you can only do what he lets you. As for some of the video Ref decisions well i am gobsmacked i think is the polite word for it. The tommy try the offside was very marginal if you cannot deem a forward pass on video how from that camera angle could he say they were offside benefit of doubt has got to come to mind. The Lockers foil was again iffy Lockers did not move maybe he should have run backwards but the leeds player ran directly at him he did not try and go for the tackle. and the Peacock try was well very iffy to say the least. Having said all that we lost to the best team in the league and Leeds deserved the win lets move on roll on next week.

Best Wigan No7 ever

Exactly, what will become clear over the next few weeks is whether we have the players to play the way Noble wants us to.

On a different night, we are 4 points behind 5 mins into the second half, then its game on.
