Really?! Were you at that game?

Leeds fan in peace:

That was certainly our best performance of the season (coming off the back of poor performances against Manly and - in an attacking sense - Warrington). The movement around the ball carrier in attack was certainly more purposeful and our kicking game was massively improved.

I think that a lot of quick balls caught you out. Not to the extent that we were scoring directly from them, but because we were getting big gains of 10 yards or more fairly cheaply. I've always been on the view that Noble teams, particularly at Leeds, like to slow the game down to a snails pace and (thankfully for us) Ian Smith didn't allow that to happen.

That Wigan team should be better than that. Hock was well marked out of the game for me - whenever he had the ball there were 3/4 Leeds shirts around him. The Wigan three-quarters should have been much more dominant against a very youthful Leeds back line (take Donald out and the oldest player in the Leeds 3/4s was just 22). Likewise, Mark Riddell should have been more influential given that his opposite number was a second-rower and I'm sorry, but Amos Roberts and Stuart Fielden are both a complete waste of space.

Fair comment?

Some fair comments there mate.

Roberts was poor tonight although he has done ok for us so far. Fielden is a worry but he did start last season much in the same way only for him to have a very good 2nd half to the season.

As for the game as a whole i thought our start killed us tbh. We made a few too many errors and Leeds took the chances on the back of those. We had chances of the back of your errors early in the 2nd half but lacked the quality to take them. Thats were we need to improve. We don't seem to have a real cutting edge in big games to get over the line.

Sorry, but the score flattered you. The best team won, but Wigan were worth more than they got tonight.

You were good in the first half. Some serious luck went your way in the second. Don't listen to Eddie and Stevo - they have an agenda. Try watching the game and making your own mind up. End of.

Wigan were awful, truly awful in the first half. Leeds were very good in the first half. Both teams were average in the 2nd half. The scoreline was a fair reflection, as it always is. End of.

Well I suppose so.

But I've always thought the scoreline is always a true reflection of the game. I reckon most coaches would say the same - I know Paul Cullen would agree, but he doesn't count.

We are just short of a couple of decent forwards.

Sam Tomkins got some tonight.

If our loose forward was anything, he should have sorted that out.
