We were well beaten tonight, so before anyone tries to score cheap points, I am not in any way blaming the ref for our defeat tonight.
But seriously, wasn't he shocking?
He awarded two dubious tries to Leeds in the first half without going to the video ref, yet he goes to the video ref for our two non-scores in the second. Literally a minute after Hock's try was disallowed for obstruction, he ignores Leeds doing exactly the same thing a minute later.
He missed at least 5 forward passes, three knock ons, Tomkins had his head taken off and that was missed too.
Clearly the above would not have affected the outcome of the match, as we messed up too many times, and Leeds were simply too strong for us, but is a level playing field too much to ask? Really?

Cant believe he deemed that Hock dropped the ball in the first half when it was a clear rip from Kallum Watkins (think it was him).

It happens.
Best team won though, so it's not an issue.
As I said earlier (and I can see I'm going to have to keep repeating this so it sinks in with people) I'm not ON about the result. I'm not even on about ball bounces. I'm on about the standard of refereeing tonight. It was crap.
Crap referreing makes our sport look stupid, so yes, Brett, it is a fu cking issue.

I agree. But the points difference might!

He was absolutely shocking. No excuses it just wasnt our night and Leeds were on fire but Smith just added the icing on top of a crap night. How many times did Hock have the ball stolen in the first half yet Smith gave knock on? Those sort of things make it impossible to get into the game especially against a team like Leeds who dont need any inviting to beat you.

He wasnt that bad, Leeds are normally the dominant team in any SL match and get the rub of the green due to that, Saints did in their prime. Manly were dominant against Leeds and that left the Loiners crying for every decision but that didnt happen either!!..Wigan were poor and lost..

i think it would make a more convincing argument if someone started a thread ABOUT STANDARDS OF REFEREEING after we won, not after we lost, because to all and sundry it looks like another "lets blame the ref " thread.
