A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. This reminds me of a thought that I had on the Greg Bird thing. If he can't get a work permit to work in the UK, how come as a Catalans player he can play (i.e. work) half or more of his games here?

you could have a france feeder 2nd division club. put all your aussie imports who cant get a visa over in that french club . then just loan them out each weekend for the games for a few hours each week
