He said on current form, Hock was devastating against a very very poor bradford team making break after break and he was aswell very good against Quins the week before.

I admit I havent seen alot of JP this season but saw him in the WCC and he wasnt nearly at his best and I listened to your game against wire last weekend(congrats btw :) ) and he got injured didnt he? So obviously Hock has looked better than people on form(in the last couple of weeks)

Dont get me wrong I think JP is a fantastic player and one of SL best forwards but on current form I can still see where Kirkmania is coming from.

Dont take his post out of context.

Statistical comparison here:
http://superleague.co.uk/statistics_pla ... eason=2009

Does not prove either player's supremacy over the other.
They perform different roles.
Would we want Hock, over Ablett maybe, but can he play centre?
Would Wigan want Peacock, over Fielden or Feka, maybe, but over Hock again I doubt it.
It's all about the balance of the team, quite apart from the salary cap implications.
I would point out that Hock has missed many more tackles than JP, but he's made more metres & tackle busts.
You pays your money & takes your choice.

Peacock punches Aussie forwards. Hock punches skinny referees. No contest.

A more apt question is would you want Hock or JJB.

JJB a million out of ten times.

Its' become clear the visiting Wiganers rate their under-achieving win nowt players to ours. Good for them.

Quote:Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

The comparison between JJB & Hock is here:
http://superleague.co.uk/statistics_pla ... eason=2009
Makes interesting reading, Hock misses many more tackles therefore we should run at him, having 1st exhausted Feka whatsisname.
I'm surprised he hasn't given away more penalties since that was always one of his weaknesses. I actually rate Hock. Not a good looker though so that's something he & JJB at least have in common.
I don't have a problem with the pie-eaters supporting their own. As you say what have they won for them recently? But we both supported Leeds in the dark ages of the 80s & 90s & what did we win then?
