I wonder in this if JW has had an input into Alker's reappointment? can't think of a genuine reason why this course of action should have been taken.
As someone else has said this goes to show that Parker has asked not to be onfield captain any longer after the truely shamefull reaction of a section of the so called Reds fans in the shed last week.
I wonder if the team continues to perform in the same manner if the aformentioned fans will turn on Alker in the way they have against Parker, I for one hope that Parker plays out of his skin and excepts the thanks of the true fans of the club and somehow makes his feelings towards the boo boys known.
WE AS A CLUB HAVE TAKEN A MASSIVE STEP BACKWARDS TODAY AND OPENED OURSELVES UP TO RIDDICULE FROM WITHIN THE GAME OR RUGBY LEAGUE.

What an absolute farce, once again we have senior players wanting things their own way & the club caves in again. 2 years ago they got Harrison the sack now they've got their mate back as captain despite his transgressions. Are we going to see some effort tomorrow from this camp, if so, can I kindly request that they inform us before they spit their dummies out next time so we can choose whether it's going to be a waste of our time & money in supporting them. Honestly didn't think my pessimism about this season could get much lower about this season but guess what, today's managed to dampen my enthusiasm even more.
As has been pointed out, I hope that fines are being refunded if Florida is now officially forgotten by the club.
By the way I'm surprised players aren't beating down the doors trying to sign for us the amount of power that they're seemingly afforded once they arrive at Salford.
That seems a bit strange strip him of the captaincy and than give it him back, whatever went on in florida must have been brushed up underneath the carpet.

If what i heard was true he doesn't deserve another chance. Personnally i think the club shoul've come out with the truth regarding the incident so we all know the true extent of the reason to bin him as captain.
As for things not getting any worse a weak management system has just made the situation into a laughable farce.
maybe mcrae ,, has sanctioned this so you lot get on his back more ,,, maybe mr wilko has sanctioned it so mcrae jacks in ,without paying him compensation ... who knows either way its a strange decision ..... maybe malc alker after the coaching job as well ... all we know is malc been a stalwart for SALFORD MUGBY ......But what went on in florida was a disgrace ... and action had to be taken.... might as well bringing marlon into the 19 man squad as well

some suggestions
Given last weeks tackling we could cast Charles Hawtrey in a multitude of roles. Shame Trish has gone, there was a part that Hattie Jaques was born to play.
as a member of forever reds, that can't make the meetings, can i request someone to ask mr simms at the next meeting, 'WHY?'
why strip him of the captaincy?
why not sack him for what he did? (was it not worse than pulling a handbrake skid on the club carpark?)
WHY give him the captaincy back?
