my ipod has decided to die on me and before i buy a new one i wondered if anyone had one for sale.perhaps you have bought a new one and have the old one lying around.

If you're looking for an MP3 player and not a fashion accessory then I can recommend the Creative web site and their refurbished range for a good quality and yet cheap option.
They download direct from Napster too, something that every other MP3 player will do except iPod thanks to Apples ongoing policy of not wanting to talk to anyone else.

G mate – if your iPod won’t fire up it’s probably the battery – both the girls 3G Nano’s have packed in because the battery died.
You can order replacements from eBay for about £5/6 – fiddley little b’stards to fit but cheaper than replacing it.
Alternatively for £50 you can send it back to Apple and they will replace it with a brand new (like-for-like) replacement, just take it to that Apple approved dealer in the Merrion (opposite St Johns)

I got a Zen creative and found it really, really user friendly.
However, there's a loose connection in the battery and it keeps losing power than takes forever to re-build the library,
So I bought an I-Pod touch. Which is actually pretty neat, though the novelty wore off fairly quickly.
Anyway, I bought the Wife a pink I-pod a few years back and the ungrateful cow rarely uses it.
I use mine in the gym (poop it Field) and on holidays. That's it.

Get a Sansa Fuze - absolutely great mp3 player - way way cheaper than an ipod nano, well made, not tied to itunes, has a radio and expandable memory with dirt cheap microSD cards.
Everyone I know that has tried the Fuze say's they'll never go back to an iPod.
(Edit for balance - I also considered the creative zen - but opted for the Fuze. The Fuze is better for music but the Zen is stronger on video...my priority was for music)
