Your right there is a massive difference between Super League and the National Leagues but in games like these the lower league teams quite often raise their games to another level and really try to cause an upset, has happened in the past and will no doubt happen again. I'm pretty sure the Barrow players would rather play your full strength 17 than a mixture of first teamers and fringe players. Looking forward to it whatever, will be a good day, and i think Barrow may surprise you with their standard or play. COME ON BARROW!!

I hope we put out the first 17 mate i really do.
Whatever the case it's going to be a great day for everyone involved. Your lot can't wait, we can't wait and it's a great game for rugbyleague in Cumbria and in general.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS
I don't think Nobby will be stupid enough to rest too many players. He has advised Des (our chairman) on a number of our signings and will know all too well what lies in store at Craven Park.
I think it's a little bit disrespectful presuming you will win easily when you know very little, if anything, about our players. There may well be 4 Super League players added to our team prior to the match as well.
You probably won't agree, but believe me, if you put 'the kids' in YOU WILL LOSE.

There will always be cup upsets but we have every right to be confident such is the gulf between NL1 and SL. At the end of the day we should have the players to beat your team easily and it's not being disrespectful or arrogant it's just we do have better players than you/
No one will be taking this game for granted that being said but 3 games in 7 days means we will have 2 give some players a rest. Like i've said we could very easily play good SL players like Mathers, Smith, Pryce, Goulding, Phelps, Prescott,Coley, Tomkins x2 and Hansen who will all be better than the standards your guys are used to playing week in week out.

Wigan would never be daft enough to put out a team totally made up of kids but they may rest 5 r 6 players for the game.
Even if we do rest that many the players coming in will have plenty of superleague experience between them and won't effect the side too much.
The likes of Mathers, Phelps, Goudling, K Pryce, Smith and Prescott are all out of the 17 at the moment and would be well up for a chance of a game in the cup against Barrow.

No one is suggesting "Putting the kids out" we have players like Richard Mathers, Cameron Phelps, Karl Pryce, Darrell Goulding and Paul Prescott who have all played regular first team but are currently not in the side. I'd definetly bring them in because it won't weaken us too much. Wouldn't mess with the pack though.
