The Leeds game coming up is a big one for Saints. If we win then we'll continue onwards with confidence but if we lose then there is the possibility of falling into competition with the second tier sides such as Wigan and Hull FC.
As a Saints fan, I am confident. I've seen us lose to many sides we shouldn't do and then win trophies so a one off loss at home to a mediocre side isn't a new thing. Indeed, the most dreadful performance I have ever seen at Saints was a loss at home to Wakefield when we were literally pathetic.
Is this LOONEY for real or is he just a wind up merchant?

Just to say congratulations on your first win at Saints in living memory. By all accounts there were more than a few dodgy calls involved and it has been noted that the worst referee in the game took charge of yet another Saints game since Anderson banned him. I'm pleased you had your day in the sun and a couple of you chaps can vindicate yourselves and gorge on probably the only win at Saints you'll have for another 20 or so years. Obviously as my previous quotes show, I didn't believe it possible (me and pretty much every other supporter of British RL except HKR speccies) so enjoy.
You should be delighted that you're the only side since last April to beat us in the domestic rounds of competition, hopefully it will now be another 11 months or so before another one.
Why don't you get some faster backs from your local Derby & Joan club? - shouldn't cost too much on the salary cap and would be faster than Wellens, Gardner and co.

rover mediocre, hull and wigan second tier team some one rates there team very high seen as rovers have beat you twice now and gave you a good game in the challenge cup last year. carnt you just admit rovers coach morgan is very good at spotting teams weekneses and sets his team up well in every game. sorry but saints are on a turn now anderson has left and next year will be harder with your players getting older and older rovers will fill your spot tho so dont worry about it

I shall break this down into some coherent points.
Firstly someone rates their team very highly ?
Well in a word yes. You see, Saints have finished top of the league 4 years on the bounce, have won the Challenge Cup the last 3 and been to the last 3 Grand Finals, losing twice despite being favourites on both occasions. In contrast, HKR have won precisely nothing, visited no finals and not even made the Play Offs.
HKR have beaten us twice and gave us a good game in the cup
Correct. However, when you beat us in the league in previous years, we still finished top and made the GF. When you gave us a good game in the cup, we went onto win it. The difference between being top and mediocre is that 'giving someone a good game' means nothing, winning at all costs, hence why I started this thread as winning at Saints is very difficult and HKR did so.
Morgan is great at spotting weaknesses and sets his team up well for every game
He has set HKR up well for games against us but frankly so do most other coaches. Saints are a flagbearing club who represent the very top of British RL so we are there to be shot at. Coaches and clubs raise their game for Saints and have done for years. In terms of Morgan getting HKR up for every game, your league position at the end of the past few seasons tends to show differently I am afraid.
Saints on a downturn due to Anderson leaving and players getting older
Sorry but people have been predicting this years. Saints have been at the very top since 1996, consistently challenging for 13 years now. We have saw more top players leave in that time than HKR have even had. We have saw the back of 2 GF winning coaches and still continued being successful. We have Roby and Moore to replace Cunningham, we have Eastmond to replace Long, we are currently giving the next generation a chance to experience the game and are still winning games. The person who scored the sole try in the game at Celtic has played 4 games for Saints at SL level. We are moving to a new stadium, we are second favourites for both competitions. What exactly are HKR ? As I have said, enjoy your moment in the limelight winning at Saints as it wont happen too often.
HKR to take Saints position at the top
HKR need a lot of work and a lot of players to even join Saints there. To overtake us is an impossibility for HKR, you just arent a big enough or good enough club.

So to summarise.....everything I wrote was spot on, you have no answer to genuine evidence presented to you and hide behind nonsense.
Welcome to East Hull.

Who is this idiot? It was a great win you had at Knowsley Road. Saints underestimated Rovers and underperformed. Bet he won't be feeling so clever when Leeds knock Saints out of the cup!
